Be a Beginner: Self-Care & Communicating Boundaries
Usually being a beginner at something means we've made some changes in our life. And NEW can really take a toll on our mental, emotional and physical resources, especially at the beginning! So that means we have to know how to best care for ourselves, because if we wait around for someone else to make our self-care a priority- it'll never happen!
We also have to know how to communicate with others around those changes. No one likes feeling caught off guard, and preparing them by helping them know what to expect will help prevent unfair assumptions, expectations and disappointments.
How do you handle self-care when you're in the midst of change? What works well? What doesn't? And how do you prevent meltdowns with you're loved ones when routines and dynamics change?
